Four words. Nearly twenty years. One enduring commitment.
“Humbly and truthfully.”
For almost 20 years, I have ended my emails the same way: Humbly and truthfully.
Those words have never been a decorative sign-off. They are a reminder of the kind of leader—and person—I intend to be.
Humbly, because leadership is an opportunity to serve. No title, credential, or amount of experience removes the responsibility to listen, learn, and recognize what others know.
Truthfully, because integrity should not depend on personal benefit. The difficult observation may be the one a leader most needs to hear. The right decision may not be the one that benefits me.
Humble Truth Strategies carries that commitment into organizational consulting. We enter with curiosity, look carefully at what the evidence and people are telling us, and make recommendations in service of the organization’s mission and those affected by its decisions.
Humbly and truthfully,
Dr. Jairo McMican
OUR PRINCIPLES
The commitments behind the counsel.
Serve before status.
Our role is to strengthen the organization's capacity, not create dependence on ours.
Let evidence challenge certainty.
We hold interpretations with humility and remain willing to change our minds.
Tell the useful truth.
We name difficult realities with care, honesty, and respect for people.
Honor the whole system.
We consider the structures, relationships, history, and consequences surrounding any decision.
